Is a BOV with a recirculation fitting the same as a DV??

a recirculating BOV is almost as good as a diverter valve, it does the same thing but does not respond as fast and you don't get the same BOV noise as the air is bieng recirculated. However, I do believe that they can take higher boost pressures but i'm not 100% on that. There is also supposed to be more maintinance required for the BOVs.

Don't mess with the BOVs...
Your car's ECU and state of tune are calculated with the knowledge that the air that gets recirculated is already accounted for in the air/fuel ratio. If you suddenly start venting that recirculated air to the atmosphere then you've changed the A/F ratio and things only get worse from there.
Get a good quality DV (I like the Forge units) and if you really want that blow off sound, then get a CAI system, but only if it has a large heat shield to shelter the open air element from the heat of the turbo and cat converter right next door. It's not the same as a BO but then again, you are driving a German automobile and not something from further East...

Good DV?
what diverter valve should i get, ive also seen that Forge has a hybrid valve that diverts enough of the air but still blows off sum air(Splitter)...
