I have the R4 race pads for track...they last pretty well.

Default Quick? That's not the word. "LUDICROUS SPEED" hehe...

JimmyP's UrS4 destroyed a brand new set in a matter of 5 sessions. Not to mention, the pads have very little bite compared to some other pads.

Default Re: Porterfield R4S - rear only for track?

If you brake hard at track, R4S should not be used up front.

I run R4S all around for street, switch fronts to R4-race before driving down to track, and usually take back off when home. Fronts wear 2mm per 100 mile session at summit point.

Unlike many race pads, the R4 can be used on a limited basis on street without destroying themselves or the rotors.

will try grooved rotors this spring to keep pad faces fresh ... recomended by KVR.

I have non A4 track car, but combo should work on A4 too.
