Default Would you like to buy a knife edged 1.8t crank.

This is my stock crank out of my car, the shop had it knife edged before we decided to go to a 2.0 crank. I am pretty sure they still have it sitting in the case in the lobby at the shop. Give the guys at Dynamic Racing Solutions a call if you would like to buy it from them.

Default They took less then 2 weeks to make my custom 8:1 compression 83.5mm pistons

which have the wrist pin location moved and designed the piston to have a thicker top section. I went with a 8:1 compression because I will be running as high as 30psi of boost once I get a bigger turbo on. Well I would be able to run 30psi out of the K04 but that is well over its real limit and it does not hold that boost very long at all anyway.

I think that is one of the reasons the car does not make all that much power right now just running 18psi since the compression is so much lower.

Default That is why it is getting hard to find them.

The shops have been buying them up as fast as the cars break down.

Default shaving down the cranks counterweights to a knife like edge to reduce windage losses

as it whips through through the oil @ high RPM

You can call them and ask. I am not sure if the stock crank is cast or forged.

Default Like I "JUST" said

Call up the shop and ask. I was just going by what the shop told me back then. I did not ever take the crank home so I was just going by what the shop had told me.

If I was sure it was forged right now I would have said so, but I did not say that did I. Why do you think I said to call the shop and ask.
