It will cost extra, but worth it when warranty claims are needed. I would get the chipped program and the race program for sure if I was you....the stock program is really necessary. I got it because I didn't want to have to ride around in chipped mode all the time. I usually change to it when I am on the hunt.

Whenever you take the car in for any service, just swap it for the stock one and you're good to go. Clear the codes...and you're much better off than with a modded ECU in the car....then, you'll be Gambling.

Good luck and let us know what you decided. Either way, you'll love a chip PERIOD...nothing like {in Tim Allen voice "MORE POWER")..heheheh

Default What about Neuspeed???? Heard anything?

Mine would be the 1.8T --- not S4...

The Neuspeed would be .8 bar. Any inputs?

Also, MTM or ABT -- do they have full names?

Default Well, I haven't heard any complaints for the people who own Neuspeed chips

in the S4 forum.....The majority of chip brands used on the S4 seem to be MTM, APR, GIAC & AMS/ABT...in no specific order. For the most part, I think they are all good. The best bet seems to be find someone with the chips you're considering....then test drive the cars and see what you think.

Default It is done via the Cruse Control..however I never in person seen it done before via the APR EMCS...

But the functionality is there w/ EMCS...but I suggest stock ECU and VAG-Tool from what I read
