Default CHIPTUNING UPDATE: Latest on my new software - TRACK TIMES :) :)

In case you didn't read the earlier thread, I posted in the b5 forums about being able to tune my ECU, and how I am making a few files and testing them on local cars, etc. Well I planned on updating friday night, well here it is

I did go to the track today, times are below - I will scan the slips in tommorrow, i'm beat as hell now.

We did run into a few minor issues, but they did not hold us back.

1. I didn't get as many runs in as I wanted, but I did get 3 in, and my first run I didn't get a good launch or anything out of it, just took it easy for the most part. Some guy blew his motor and created a super mess, so I stood by my car for an hour waiting. SO beat. Out of the three runs though I had I felt I did decent although I feel I could do better with more runs.

2. Stock side mount on K04 at the track = heatsoak city when you wait around in the line for 10 mins before you run. Still not a big deal.

3. My programming still needs a little finetuning, I wasn't holding as long of a peak as I should. I was spiking 22psi and holding only 14psi in the top of third gear which definately killed my top end compared to usual. I also need to go over the A/F with a wideband to ensure a perfect A/F ratio at WOT. I tried a variation of the file with a different wastegate control map, and it wasn't exactly as I had expected. I am still very happy with my times because I know they will be even better.

Well all issues aside I feel with the tuning I am gonna put forward in the next few days, the car will be even faster and more well tuned. For an early version of the software I feel this is an awesome accomplishment.

My best time of the night was a 14.62, I ran a 14.7 before that.

My car's specs:
100 percent stock minus the K04-15 turbo and my own ecu programming. I am also tiptronic on snow tires. Stock exhaust is KILLING me but there's nothing I can do about it.

Considering a stock car minus the K04 and ECU, with an automatic tranny, ran a 14.6, I am very happy. I will finetune the software and have it tested on a few local cars. Expect another update soon.

I will scan the slips in tommorrow!

Default Pretty cool that you're able to hack into the tables and reprogram it. Did you unsolder/solder the

same flash after programming or are you using a different flash after you took the stock one out?

Where did you get the ECU tuning tools/software if you don't mind me asking?
