Cold air intake?

Cold air intake?
Does anyone have any info whether or not the cold air intake system for the 1.8t is effective? I'm hesitant on buying one since the cone filter will be so close to the turbo, I'm afraid it may just suck in extremely hot air.
Any comments?

I built an insulated airbox...>>>

Actually develops positive pressure inside the box at speeds over 40.....Runs cool too..<ul><li><a href="http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/cai_and_other_intak/">Airbox development</a></li></ul>

Is the Airbox mounted near the Turbo in the TT?
And have you gotten temps from the airbox interior vs. ambient?
If the insulation is enough then this may be the right CAI for the A4 (and it doesn't hurt that it looks good too )

That looks good....
wish I had room for something like that in my car, but as you can see, space is at a premium:
