popular here in the states? I havent read about too many people running their software. I believe I am going to try out their products. Any input would be great. TYIA

Default DO IT!!!! you will not regret it

I have the chip and its great, ive driven giac and APR, feels noticeably torque-ier, no pinging, and still runs timing advance. I have some logs a few posts down (block 003 i believe) mass air TPS timing advance. i flow just about 170 g/s at 6000 rpm. Eventualy ill prob buy a K04 and have the chip re-burnt for that, along with a FMIC and bigger injectors, that wont be untill i kill my fairly new (8,000 miles) K03 though. Anyway, i deff recoment them to anyone and everyone, cant realy go wrong w/ somone who helped develop some audi engines, and was the race team tuner (thats what ive read anyway)

Default the 300$ off was for

just the chip, no free upgrades for life, when i go to K04 ima have to pay the 300$ for free upgrades. nice thing about that is wen u pay the 300$ and get free upgrades (wich is now built in again, youll get it no matter what) you can get any 3K turbo n they will write a program for you. FREE

Default Just saw in your sig abt the Fact 5 cobra coming ...>>

Check into the IRS option they offer, and if you have a choice (and I think you do) look hard into the 5.0 option over the 4.6. Many more parts and a much more robust engine. If you get it contact me, I have a lot of 302/351 experience and know where to get some real interesting parts.

Default They do things a little different in Europe...

You won't catch them doing testing on customers cars or releasing software before doing high altitude, sea level, multiple climate, street, and track testing on a program. They are also held accountable by the government to substantiate their performance claims so you will generally find the numbers they advertise for their commercially available software to be about 10% conservative. I found it to be more conservative than that when I did testing. An example is that I had a program that advertised 250tq to the wheels, and it dynod at 260tq to the wheels unmolested in Florida and 280wtq with the N75K.

Now keep in mind that their government regulating body does not apply here in the states, but that really doesnt matter. They don't alter their testing procedures and facilities to make crappier chips for us or anything. Here is a neat little article of my bros trip to Ingolstadt. MTM and DBack work very closely together. Audi of Europe and MTM work even closer. Indeed, Audi of Europe actually does some testing and tuning on their new models that will eventually come to market over at the MTM facility. cheers! Default IRS is too expensive for me....

Im only 20, i have built a 289, 3 5.0s, a 351 ina bronco, 2 chevy 350s, and done alot of work on everyhting from my audi, a 180 TT Q, 1995 90 12v, 2002 S2000, jeep cheokee wrangler, etc. but anyway Im going to build a 5.0. somewhere between 9.0 and 10.0 comp ratio, X303 cam (huge i know but not much need for low end in a 2000 lb car with 3.73:1) a victor JR intake (i liek the F/I but it gets costy once u go over 300 hp) i wnat between 340 and 380 hp. ill rebuild one of my freinds many 5-speeds,a nd use a king cobra clutch. im going to spend under 20k (minus paint, itll prob spend its first season primer black) i just wnat somthing super fast for not a whole lot of money. what kind of interesting parts can you get? if u wnat, shoot me an email.

Default I don't think TUV is a government organization. I think, in some functions, it is rather like the

UL here in the US. The various TUVs also provide design consultation, market analysis, country specific conformance compliance, etc.

Certification doesn't ensure performance of each component ...
An example ... were the 'OEM' RS4 wheels that were bending left and right .. TUV 'certified'? Were the UL 'listed' coffee makers (IIRC Mr. Coffee) that were burning houses down, UL 'certified'?

http://www.tuvamerica.com/aboutus/history.cfm</a
