Default Damn, clutch won't disengage, anyone have this problem before?

The clutch pedal doesn't engage/disengage the clutch any more.

It's a 2300lb pressure plate, and the pedal is just as stiff as it was before it broke, so I don't think it's a master/slave cylinder issue, and I can still drive it (turn car off, put in 1st gear, start car, shift slowly) so the actual clutch disk, flywheel, and possibly even the pressure plate are still good.

It's almost like the throwout bearing disintegrated, and pushing on the pedal doesn't provide enough travel to push on the pressure plate.

That's my theory, anyone else got any ideas?

It just had to happen 3 days before the local dyno day. Aaargh!

disc/plate could be too thick.

Disk might have over heated and is now stuck to the flywheel.
