Default Do all TIPs act like this? Will a chip help?
With my limited exprerience with the TIP I am not sure if this is normal. Unless I am full on with the gas the TIP shifts from 1st to 2nd early leaving the car in kind of a hesitation mode as the RPMs come up, almost like starting in 2nd gear. Dealer says everything checks out as normal.
Seems dangerous to pull out in trafic and have it shift to 2nd and bog due to low RPMs. Is this something a TIP chip would correct?

Unless you really step on the gas, it will automatically switch to 2nd gear. Its in the manuel.

A little hard driving in tip mode will correct this. It adapts to your style and will shift later.
