How about TAP's sport intercooler? Should the difference in psi be proportional to increase in boost? Thanks much!

Default I don't remember the numbers, but go to europeanspeed.com....

they did some work with a large front-mount IC that also retained the stock side-mount IC. The loss in pressure was very minimal and I don't think you'll have a problem with the TAP sport IC, but personally I'd go with a larger front-mount for looks and performance

http://www.europeanspeed.com</a

Default If the intercooler "lost" pressure, wouldn't....

..it flow the other way and make your turbo spin backwards ? You'd have 1 forward and 5 reverse gears. Or is this some kind of trick PV = nRT question ?

Default No, I think he means that when the intercooler cools air a little bit of pressure is lost...

when you cool a gas the molecules "hug" each other, causing a slight pressure loss

Default

I/C pressure drop depends on air flow thus engine speed

Default In addition to the temperture drop another source of losss is . .

pressure loss due to friction through the intercooler itself.
