FWD Problem...
OK this has to do with my son's 2002 GTI 337 1.8T.. T3-T4 Turbo, mega HP and modded to the hilt including its 6 speed tranny and a quaife LSD.
He is suddenly getting a pull to the left under accelleration. Let off the gas and it goes right again. Cruising is straight, but tap the gas and its a noticable push/pull left. This happened befor an allignement was done. The allignement didn't cure it. It's not torque steer as was common in earlier cars... its a new and deiffinate problem.
He has a complete coil over set up as well.
Any clues?

nothing with the tires..
...the shocks are OK as well. Its soemthing in the drivetrain or steering. It was not a gradual change.. but a sudden change in the car's behaviour.
I though perhaps someone had a similar experience.

I'll vote strut bearing, too...
...had this happen several times with VW A2 chassis (Golf, Jetta). Very common.
Also check LCA (lower control arm) bushings and bolts, and LBJ (lower ball joint).
