FYI PES has updated info on their turbo kit: starts at $3600 and 265hp-300hp.

I thought it was going to be cheaper?
If the kit makes 265 hp with the stock manifold for $3600, that seems inline with APR's stage 3 kit. Doesn't really seem like a less expensive alternative. An extra $900 get's you a better manifold, high flow cat, and 15 hp. It seems fairly equivalent to me. I think at $3000 the kit would be a deal compared to the APR kit.
Don't get me wrong, I believe it will be a quality product, but I was under the impression it was going to be in the $2800-$3000 range. I'm looking forward to seeing the dyno #'s...especially the torque curve.

The PES kit comes with a new exhaust manifold, but...
it's still not much of a power gain over the K04. If it truly puts out 265hp, that's only 20 more hp than a K04 kit for $2000 more. If the kit was $3000, then I think it'd be worth considering. If APR lowers the price of their Stage 3 kit to $4000, I can't see buying the PES kit instead of the APR one...

I believe at $3600(base kit) there is no manifold....
turbo bolts onto the stock one. I think the manifold they mention will add onto the base price cost. At least that is how I read it. $3600 = turbo + injectors + software. APR mentioned offereing the same manifold design in SS instead of iconel. That would bring the price down some. As an APR chip owner..I can probably live with $4500 for the kit..once they really tweak the software. Then add their FMIC later for less than a grand. Of course I'll consider all available alternatives on the market at the time. Hopefully the competition will brng out the best in the tuner's and their products and the time from now until then will give an idea to the reliablity of the kits.

Nope, I just went to PES' website, seems to me the manifold is included..
I think APR's kit is a decent deal at $4000, and overpriced at $5000. However, for $3600 I can't see the PES kit really stealing sales away from APR, esp if APR lowers the price of their kit to $4000.
I am looking forward to seeing their new intercooler, esp if it's $800. I'm about to bolt a K04 on my car and I'd love to get a larger IC!

I think this turbo is designed to fit the stock manifold....
That is one of the kit's selling points. no need for a new manifold, but you can upgrade later...unlike APR. Either way. I was under the impression it would be cheaper. I'm anxious to see the final product, pricing, dynos, and peoples opinions of it.

If the price does include the manifold, it's not too bad a price...
Either way, I'm lokking forward to it's release and hearing people's opinions of it.

I'm with J Daniel, I bet they did not work with Garret to retool the exhaust turbine flange...
at the factory, and manifold is a cheaper option. Plus the K03 inlet is tiny compared to a GT2 series, why restrict those exhaust gasses with a rinky dink stock manifold, I mean two fingers barely fit through the hole of the stock one
