Has anybody else had a defective H&R coilover?
I had a rear strut break on my H&R Ultra Performance coilovers. I always baby my car, so I doubt it was me and am pretty sure it was defective. But has anyone else had a defective part. I think I saw one person post that they had a defective strut on the regular kit.
So far I'm NOT considering it a problem bcause I am willing to accept that some things will be defective, but I was just curious if anybody else has had a problem like this. Thanks.

Yep.
One of my rears was defective out of the box. (Didn't realize it though, but after a couple of days of driving, the whole strut and the control arms around it were covered with damper oil.) I have the street kit.
I know of three other people in the S4 forum who reported an H&R shock failure (one out of the box like me, two after being in the car for a while). Though I'm mostly satisfied with my H&R coilovers, I do think they might have a bit of a quality control problem. YMMV.
