Default Having read the Bentley on the subject I am left wondering why lowering my A4 q (m)

would cause a shift in the averaging of the camber. I understand that if the camber was presently .5/.5 lowering the car would cause an increase, but unless this shoves the subframe and all 8 mounting bolts to one side .. why doesn't the lowering automagically center the increased camber? ..edited .. assumes equal lowering on each side of course ..

Default It shouldnt shift unless...

...the lowering is uneven, or there is a difference in the L/R upper arm geometry that was compensated for by the lower subframe prior to the lowering. Off the top of my head I cant image either being a problem (unless the car was in a wreck and repaired but not well).

Did this happen to you?

Default Thanks for the reply ...

No it hasn't happened to me. I was asking in anticipation of installing a set of CO. The car hasn't been hit nor have I had any incidents with wheel impacts. The car is a 99.5 A4 with factory sport suspension and I am not going to lower it agressively .. perhaps an inch all around. I am looking for a flatter response to changes in inertia not cosmetic changes. I also wish to be able to alter the jounce and rebound settings hence CO vs springs and shocks.
I had read several posts here (lurking for a while)about the need to average the camber post lowering the car and it occurred to me that unless I was missing something it ought to retain the split currently set. But, since I am not necessarily the brightest bulb in the package I thought I would ask the 200 watt types here.
