help with DSM...
also, how's the handling on these cars? i've heard good and bad things about it...
btw, any idea what would be needed to transform a talon to eclipse? in canada, we only get talons, but the eclipse looks so much better (the post '97 ones). if its just bumper swap, i'll have no problem. if its more than that... i think i might look to import one then.
TIA!
now, will that fit the aftermarket body kit, or do i need modifications? also, is the HID kit on your site compatible with the projector lamps?
last thing, as i've also asked audiboy, is it possible to covert a talon to eclipse? the reason why i asked is b/c in canada, we don't get eclipse. not too big of a fan of talon's styling.
if i do end up w/ a dsm... look out for more mails from me =)
As far as handling, I didn't really know what that was since I just wanted straight line acceleration he he. But seriosly, this car got into a wreck - fell on a ditch, so it had positive front camber on one side. Instead of spending the big bucks on chassis work, I took my trusty dremel tool, and enlarged the front suspension holes to add negative camber. The handling was much better after with the aid of lowering springs, but I don't remember it being as great as my A4 is right now. Then again, can't do much on a limited budget. I remember serious understeer in the rain though - I just didn't know how to drive it well back then. Sold it in '92. I was looking into an RX7 or 300ZTT after.
the 2.5RS would've fit my bill even better had it have a better interior (makes the dsm ones look gorgeous). the Celica, integra GSR/Type R, and Preludes were ruled out b/c lack of awd. Oh ya, the bad karma on the above mentioned 3 cars around my friends are not helping either =).
anyways, yes, from pictures, it seems like talons and eclipse have a different rear valence. i wonder if the rear fenders are different too, b/c the talon lights seems bigger. the front of the talon's really gotta go... the '97 ones are... well, pretty ugly.
i've heard that the car drives, well, rather "bulky". don't know if that's b/c of the understeering problem. i would figure it drives somewaht bulky, being as heavy as the A4..., but how bad is it, i don't know yet. will drive a few after my finals.
oh ya, if anyone is ever bored of looking at the A4's interior (i got bored of looking at pictures), look at dsm for an hour. it'll make you miss the interior of the A4. i'm grinding out my brain trying to figure how to make the interior look more pleasant =)
thx for the help... if i do end up with a dsm, i'll shoot a couple people here some e-mails.
oh this is gonna be fun... diet... =Þ
