Default HELP needed with cat removal

I need help with taking out my cat and downpipe. the cat is attached to the dp because it's impossible to get to the dp bolts while under the car. I am taking the cat and the dp out as a unit but am having ttrouble lifting it out of the engine bay. It is stuck in a couple places. I know it can be done but I need advise on how to twist or angle it so that it'll slide out. Thanks for any help.

Default When I had my 1.8t here is what I did...

....was remove the bolt that holds the DP to the tranny, this will allow you to push the DP aside a bit(access the tranny DP bolt by jacking the car up a little). Push the DP to the passengers side as you push the CAT (rear end only) towards the drivers side. Once the CAT flange clears the DP flange allow the rear end of the CAT to drop and then pull the CAT out vertically.

This is how I installed my test pipe. The first time it took me almost an hour and a half (learning curve). After that I was able to do it in 20-30 minutes.

All this assumes that you have removed the stock air box and heat shield assembly.
