Hmmmm. Which chip to go with???????????

I've had GIAC and Wett
Stay away from the Wett if you are in California.
Otherwise it was a great chip. BTW, I have both their .8 and 1.0 bar chips for sale.
(I live in California and the Wett chip causes detonation)

Re: about the same.... depends on how you like your power delivery
-->I was thinking of going APR, because of its dyno reviews looks good.
I like the features they have for switching off the chip, setting throttle and so forth. Seems like a compelling feature but I hear the GIAC is really sweet as well as the ABT. I thought I read a rumor that GIAC would have a similar feature coming that allows one to switch the behavior of the chip from inside the car. Anyone heard this and can confirm?
I want to get something in the next few weeks but like others, making up your mind to which is difficult. I do know I'll get it installed in a 2nd ECU.

I've had a Wett 1 bar for my 2001 1.8T for 8K miles now. It runs great and no problems of any kind. I did get it directly from Wett in Germany, so I don't if that makes any difference. I live in Germany. I reach +140 miles/hr on the German Autobahn with no major effort. Of course, this is about the max. it can do. Passing while on 5th gear from 80mph to reach 100mph happen real easy and quickly. That is my expirience. No NASCAR, but I have made many BMW 328 and 330 move out the way. Yes, my A4 is a US Spec, manual. Good luck!
