Default not real, its impossible to have more torque than horsepower after 5252 rpm

and its impossible to have more hp than torue under 5252, the rpms arent shown on that graph but the torque shouldn't be parallel to the hp like that and they should intersect...as long as the torque is staying flat across the graph the horsepower must be increasing...fake dyno

Default Yeah, But

You can make a dyno show anything you want.

Default The numbers work if this was a 2500 to 3500 rpm run. Strange auto engine...

which could run like this. It's more like a turbo diesel truck engine.

How about a heavily boosted GM Duramax Diesel (6.6L turbo)? Stock numbers are 520 ft lbs @1800 and 300 hp @ 3100. Cramming the boost and fuel to it could give the curves shown here. The Allison 5-speed auto trans should be up to the task, and the gearing of 3500 rpm at 118 mph sounds about right. I'm sure there are other similar turbo diesels, like Cummings.

Even still, the rpms MUST be increasing, no matter how small the increment, for the speed to increase (unless it has a cvt) and while the torque remains constant across the graph the HP does not increase leading me to believe the dyno is fake...
EDIT: looking at it again I guess it COULD be real if it is only spanning a small amount of rpms, but it still doesn't seem right to me.

Default We have a winner!!!!

I am told this is from a Dodge pickup with a Cummins diesel, heavily worked turbo with a 200 shot of nitrous. I'm told it does 525 HP w/o nitrous. I have not seen vehicle, but it is in my old hometown, and I will see it next month. Source is a very reliable frined - his buddy owns it.

He said equip maxed out a 1200 lb/ft, so the flat spot. Also said run only took about 3 seconds, and the dyno guy said it was the most powerful run he'd ever seen. Spun tires on shift at 90 MPH.

All secondhand, or worse.

Default NOS on a turbo'd diesel; Dayum! I wouldn't stand next to that thing on a dyno.

Standing next to a 450 hp Viper in top gear at power peak on a chassis dyno (about 203 mph tire/dyno roll speed) was enough. Even with the wide Viper tires and only about 375 at the wheels you could smell the rubber.

FWIW, that would be about the right wheel speed for a pulling tractor also.
