Re: "Not much..." You're kidding right!?! Audi ran the 10v engine early on in Group B rallies with
700+HP and later with 20v at over 900. They later de-tuned and settled on 550HP in both 10/20v configurations. Then they did it again in IMSA but only 20v cars saw IMSA duty and they too were backed down each subsequent year to 550 + or - HP before finally being banned as the "unfair advantage" due to Quattro.

On a WX engine? Not in street form...
Really...for the time and money spent trying to get there....
And besides where are you gonna get mods for an engine that is 20 years old. There isn't a single tuner I can think of that is doing stuff for that motor.

2b is super-overpriced, but it does work...
As opposed to some companies.
The stock motor is limited by the intake, fueling, and exhaust. The hardcore I-5 crowd throws it all away, that is why we know about the casting problem.
Custom multi-butterfly dual injectors on custom ECU, massive exhaust running huge turbo. Still far cheaper than a new car, but a ton of development.
I looked hard at an S4 conversion, that was in the mere 350 range and it was scary fast with a normal suspension. For 5 grand more and a few months of development, we'd be at the limit of the block, and doing 3rd gear awd burnouts.
