Default intercooler for sure

The added heat of chipping, much less a bigger turbo, requires more cooling. Some bigger turbos are more efficient and heat the air less, but any boost over the stock 7psi kinda overcomes the puny stock intercooler.

I'm running the little TAP upgrade. It helps a little, but not enough.

Good luck,
Rich

Default What engine? You should probably do...

...the exhaust manifold to get all of the heat off of the valves.

APR has a good manifold for the 1.8t and 2Bennett and a few others have them for the I5 turbo.
