I'm going to have a custom race cat made for my car, but have a question about my CEL...
If my CEL goes off, is it a more of a nuissance to me/my dealer or are there any warranty issues associated with triggering the CEL? Any way to disable the CEL? The guy who is making the cat said he was 90% sure it wouldn't trigger the light, but I want to know my options if it does trigger it. They have a 100CPSI and a 200CPSI cat, is there a big sound/power difference between the two? Thanks

If you get a CEL you cannot pass emissions and your dealer will freak. Some race cats will trigger CELS in OBD-II systems--"90% sure" isn't good enough. A 100-cell cat is a pure race system, 200-cell is "sport." They should sound the same and yield very minimal power gains. Many of these hi-flow cats are junk designed for Japanese imports. The good ones are German (Cargraphic, etc.) or made in Finland (Kemira) and they are not cheap. Tell me again why you're doing this???

I have a 2.5inch cat-back exhaust and downpipe, but want to further open up the exhaust system and
get a little more power, as well as hopefully change the tone of my exhaust.
It is straight through in design with no baffles, but it's not all that loud and agressive. I'm hoping this will help. I have noticed gains as far as power with this system, its been shown on the dyno to give 10 hp and 15 lbs of torque...I just want to max out my exhaust gains before moving on to other stuff.

My exhaust vid
