Default Installed H&R Sport Springs on A6 4.2 - Possible Problem....

I kept OEM gas shocks - just new H&r sport springs.
I noticed a muffled rattle coming from the back end, and I brought the car back to thes hop that installed the springs. They advised this sound would go away once the shocks "lowered" and
got used to the shorter springs.
Has anyone ever heard of this?

Default I probably won't know more until Saturday -

The car also now looks lower to the ground in the back. I measured, and it's 1/4 inch lower in back. The shop that installed them suggested
Eibach's, and when I brought the car in for the install they advised that H&R would be better.
The H&R's in their current state are lower than I
wanted - my wife asked if I am having neon running
boards installed next week.
I'll post in the next couple days about the rattle solution.

Default Settling is common on suspension bit's, however your shocks are already broken in?

The springs will settle as well just takes time.

However they should not rattle!

Default Are you having problems scraping the front plastic.

The Eibachs are not available till August for the 4.2 .Probably why your shop put the H&Rs on. You know the H&R 4.2 springs are the same part #for the 2.7. This is why I havnt installed them yet.Do you have a picture in the present condition?

Default I HAVE NO RUBBING OR SCRAPING , BUT ..............

THE CAR LOOKS TOO LOW. I JUST RETURNED FROM THE AUDI DEALER AND THEY MEASURED THE DROP AT 2 1/4 INCHES ALL THE WAY AROUND................
THE SHOP THAT INSTALLED THEM IS REINSTALLING OEM SPRINGS FREE OF CHARGE.
