hmm. My advice, return the hksssqvxyzlmnop, and by a forge or bailey, or equivalent bypass valve.
But you didn't ask that.
BPV location depends on the year of car. On my '99.5 the bpv is easy to access from the bottom, towards the passenger side. Remove the belly pan and it's easy to spot. If it's not there then it's somewhere else that is a pain in the butt to get to, but I don't know where.

get rid of it and buy a normal piston type Diverter Valve, like EVO motorsports....
the HKS sounds like a squeaky toy, and BOVs in general arent good for this engine. if u want that "fwoooosh" sound get an intake, not an ebay one either, one with a good heat shield. EVO motorsports sells an OK one, as does Dahlback. they are expensive, but wont hurt power, prob wont gain much at all, but youll prob get a little better throtle response, and that sound u want.

The HKS SSQ BOV will work ferfectly fine...
on the audi, vw, 1.8t. Stock, chipped, (KKK turbo powered)etc.. I've put installed them on several (5-6) 1.8t's,and they all ran perfect. NOT greddy or blitz, etc... only the HKS SSQ. Sounds great too. HOWEVER, it didnt work right on my old PES kit... but it could have just been from crap PES chip program
