Default For me performance is not needed on the street.

This is why I remove the head light to feed cold air straight to the cone filter.

Default Last I heard, Audi sold the 5 cyl turbo rights to Volvo.

I keep hearing rumors of a new 5 cyl coming back, but nothing more. FWIW, look at the 2.2 turbo 5 next to the 1.8 T and they're very similar. If Audi was to bring back the 5, they would probably base it off of one bank of their V10.
I love this engine and have had the car for 2 years and love it, but I need something smaller, so that's why I'm selling it. It's a very torquey motor (unlike 1.8T) and the sound is amazing. Not to mention the sleeper factor, most people have no idea what it is.

Default So are you lying in this post or the other above post?

It's great to have a project car, but at least admit it if it's not on the street or streetable.

So is it your fast street car or stripped down track car? Or will GIAC not let you say?

Default How am I lying?

I drive the car with the head light in the car and then remove it at the track to feed cold air to the cone filter. I also had a 4" tube down at the fog light to feed air up to the filter while on the street. The reason I said I dont look for performance on the street is because I dont use 100% of the power since I dont race on the street.

My car has always been street driven and the plan is to still keep it that way. Only thing that has been removed is the spare tire, tool box support, AC, secondary pump and I put in some race seats. I still drive the car with the rear seats in.

Default No, I drive with the head light in.

I take it out at the track when I want to really push the car.

Default Oh, I gotcha, I must have misread some of your posts in the past

about gutting the car down to 2500 lbs for the track or something like that.
It sounds like a very sick car and can't wait to check it out at H20Fest. Then we can talk about this boost controller thing... ;-)
