I picked up my 1.8t Q 01' from the shop tuesday (finally finished: APR 93 octane chip, HX DV, EVO MS intake, full Milltek w/Dp, strat short shifter) The first night I took it out, it was a f&@$^n monsoon. I was on the highway and it seemed like the engine started to choke (badly-followed by a clunk/heavy rattle coming from the engine compartment, more towards the passenger side.) I pulled over, gave it a little gas, and it made a very low (abnormal) moan that literally shook the car. After letting it sit for a min, I was off and everything seemed normal again. Keep in mind no engine light... yet. 2 days later im on the highway running it hard (no rain) and the engine light pops on! I hate to say it but I think I can hear a clicking sound coming from the engine when I have my ear next to it and car is idling. Regardless, the car still seems to be running well, but I don't really want to hammer on it while the light is on. Did my engine ingest water through the intake? I have until the end of the year (when my warranty is up) Should I just take it to the shop and run codes, or lock it into stock mode and take it right to Audi? Any thoughts as to what kind of situation i might have here.
