Default I've asked this before but what do you think it mean if i unplug my maf and

and get little (5psi) to no boost. I'm only getting about 12psi max and I cant figure out the problem. no boost leaks, new o2s, test pipe is being used. I'm a 98 nondbw a4 and I dont know what else to do. I now have a n75 from a 200 quattro (like the ecs race valve) and that gives be a 16-17psi ( think I should be getting about 20psi. I should be getting more boost w/ the stock n75 but I dont know what else to look into. the fuel filter has also been changed

my main question is why would i get no boost with a unpluged maf on a nondbw? any ideas would be great.

Is this a K03 or K04 setup?

Default Well if you are running the setup that is on your link

then there is no way your going to produce 20psi on a non dbw small K03 or on those tiny 240cc injectors with a 4 bar fpr. Not even the non dbw k04 kits run that much boost on stock injectors (240cc) and a 5 bar fpr.

Default ok well what boost should i see w/ a stock turbo and a stock n75

it should be more then 12 thats for sure. I think I should see about 17-18psi or so right?

what about the fact that when i unplug the maf I loose all my boost? I should run ok off just the ecu maps right? ...or is that only for the dbw? I'm not sure which one runs off a pre determined map when the maf is not working or is unplugged.

running only 12 psi without the n75 upgrade means something is wrong i think..... becase i was getting more before this problem started.

could a test pipe case such a condition?

Default A normal non dbw chip will

spike to about 16-17psi hold 14-15 psi and drop to about 10 by redline.

Did the problem start when you put the test pipe on?
