Just got my S4 back with new 1st/2nd gears/syncros BUT: exhaust is much louder now! ??? Anyone?

Here's a possibility....
Just a thought, keep in mind audiworld isn't a recommended source of reliable information.
Audi pays for the tech to take out the downpipes when taking out the trans. It can be shortcutted (sp?) if a few strong guys muscle it out correctly. Incorrectly, and the flex joints in the downpipes could be damaged to the point of leaking. This would cause your much louder exhaust.
Or the exhaust clamps are leaking...
