K04 J31 losing power at 3100 rpm, re-lubed diverter valve, boost is fine and steady.
Can't find answers in search, need help.
I am currently running an Evo diverter valve, spp p&p manifold, 310 injectors and 3.7 bar fuel reg with stock intercooler (will upgrade soon).
Doesnâ€TMt happen all the time and it only happens over 3000 rpm. My boost gauge (AWE) shows it past 25 psi (28psi) but no pull, rpm barley moving. I can hear the boost but no power. I would let off on the gas and floor it again, the power would return.
I installed a Samco 3 piece boost hose, my mechanic told me that the hose to the diverter valve is the longer style for older A4s; will this cause the problem. Spp said that the Evo valve can handle that boost, is he incorrect, do I need to buy a better one than can handle the boost or is it something else.
I will get it pressure tested but if I am driving normal 90% of the time; I thing there are no leaks.

ok...im swapping in my "other" 710N in this weekend, hopfully the mysterious noise goes away.
now that i know a 710N can handle a stage3, there's no doubt it can handle a k04 (if functioning properly)

i have an EVO DV...i haven't done a thing to it yet and its been about 30K...
and its still holding strong...but I should do some maintenance to it to ensure everything is working properly.
