Default KKK K26 Turbo? Anybody have any info on them?

They were used on Porsche 944 Turbos. Will it bolt up in place of the K03, or would it require a special manifold?

It was used on all the 5000 audis and it has a 4 bolt flange rather than the 3 bolt flange on k03.

Default I think the K24/26 hybrid is more common...

I would buy the ATP maifold, and then run whatever Garrett turbo my heart desires (T3/T04e ). $375 aint bad.

Default That's what I'm thinking...

Just a K04 runs about $800-$900, I can get the ATP manifold and a T3 for half that.

I was just curious if there was anything else out there, other than a K04, that would bolt up.

Thanks. Is there anything other than the K04 that bolts up? (K16?)

Default ever one interested in his K04-25 read this!!!!

Ken Put this to rest... that is not a K04-25 i know for a fact i have a direct account from 3K in Germany i import turbos on a regular basis and have the part numbers to all K04 lines including the new VTN line.

What you have is a K04 which is rebuilt with a custom wheels from another 3K turbo. I have contacted the manufacturer Turbo Tapp or Tapp Turbo i forget which he goes by. Nice guy he is willing to make turbos for me but he can't 100% back up that turbo to be perfect. they are hand built by him only and sold one at a time. He knows who you are and told me the specs of your turbo.

I would drop this K04-25 nonsens and the Left Bank RS-4 turbo because you are just leading people on and that is not right. you need to Admit you have a K04 which is modded like the others with a K04 that is modded with a 16G compressor wheel.

I would like to see how you can make that turbo spool the proper pressure as no one has the proper chip for that. you might want to contact SKN they have an agressive hybrid K04 program that they might give you.

Have fun with that turbo and tuning it remember to run 290 or 310cc injectors with that turbo and a 4.5FPR.

only K04's in the family are
0005 and 0015, there are other variations for smaller but non with a 25. All Audi sport turbo's have an Audi Sport or Quattro GMBH logo under the blue 3K plate. the exhaust side also has the Audi rings so double check your custom before you claim it is an Audi sport or a K04-25.

Default On the tuning...

...it will tune just like a K04 because the MAF is driving the wastegate and therefore the amount of 02 the engine receives. Running a hybrid with a standard K04 is fine.

That being said, it is possible to tune a hybrid far beyond a K04-15 because it will pump more air....to a point. The limiting factor in the K0x line is the turbine scroll. I truly believe that the longitudinal K0x is limited to about 260-270hp.

Hope it helps,
Mike O.
