Lack of power
Audi a8 2006 3 litre quattro has lost acceleration, it gets down the road ok but is more like a small car and first thing it is really slow getting to 30 mph and is embarrasing going over a hump back bridge or up hill. The turbo and actuator has been changed, it was ok but acceleration went again after a few days. The Audi specialist garage is suggesting a recon E C U, the warning light for that is on. Any ideas would be great ! Thanks

So when you step on the accelerator pedal it's slow as can be? What happens when you step on the gas like normal and then let off and back on the gas...does it disrupt the laggy acceleration and send you off faster again? This could be an indicator of your intake manifold internal flaps needing some lube...or new actuator itself.

Thanks, i touch thr accelerator and there is a very brief pick up but if you put your foot down nothing happens, the car will just accelerate slowly, there is little pick up when you pull away especially if it is a slope

All that i know is the ecg warning light is on, going to garage to investigate, as they have reconditioned the turbo and actuator for which a code suggested they may look at the ecu itself ? Losing the will !!!!
