Default Lean problem - here are the numbers (and graph)

Let me know what you think. I would really like to see the numbers from someone with a GIAC K04 chip or APR Stage 3 (with Brett posting the factor for the MAF resistor they use) to compare things. For reference, this chip only turns about 13.5 lbs at WOT and drifts off to 12lbs at higher RPMs. Please pay particular attention to the MAF readings. I would like to know what this turbo is doing in comparison to a stock K04.

Default Good god those first 3 data points are scary...been a while since I've looked at the O2

graphs but that's kinda lean isn't it?

VAG-COM 7.5 with SnapIt software...easy really.

Default Boost & temperature data

You should have a vacuum/boost connection to add this data to your graph. Air intake temperature should also be indicated to ensure that future measurements are taken at the same temps.

I need to buy a VAG tool...what are the different options from Audi and how much do they cost? Steve

Default Have you ever changed your O2 sensor?

Over time they get contaminated and the Air/fuel vs. voltage curve can change, giving numbers that are less than what they should be.

Default I had a similar problem in the past.

For a little while, I was driving a very early experimental version of the GIAC K04 chip and it was running lean in a similar fasion. Needless to say I've got an upgrade right away. You should definitively get in touch with Wet to get updated software. You should also check your 5bar regulator. Mine started leaking and lost pressure after a while. I've got it replaced as well. The turbo 5 adjustable FPR maybe a good investment, especially if you can't get an upgraded chip as it will go up to 5.5 bar.
