Default It Lives!!!!!!!!!

Well finnally got the Car initially running again.

Initially i say, as they are some more changes to be made over the next week or so.
like Install a new Performance exhaust manifold.
GT30 Turbo and Autronic SM2 Standalone ECU.

Mods Completed this time;

Custom Engine Build to 2.0L
JE 8.5:1 Pistons with premium Rings
Arrow H Beam Rods with 3/8" rod bolts
VW Forged 2.0L Crank with knife edged leading faces.
Sonic lined Bored 1.8L Block and shaved for conrod clearances.
Eurospec mains Girdle and ARP Rod Bolts.
Custom Intermediate drive Shaft for oil pump.
Head ported, Flow tested, and Ceramic Coated.
Solid Valve Lifters.
Schrick double exuast springs and schrick single inlet springs.
Schrick Single groove valves with larger exhaust valves.
Titanium Spring retainers and locks.
AudiSport mechanical cams.
Eurospec Adjustable Cam sprocket
Ported Inlet Manifold
Modified Oil Pan
Modified Oil Pump pickup
Spec special Clutch
Tial external Wastegate

Default What did you use for solid lifters...

shim under or shim over?

Default Good for you Lucas! Two questions...What did you do to your intermediate

drive shaft? I have looked at those things and thought (boat anchor). Are you running a harmonic balancer?

You use the Hydrolic units, take the center piston out, Schrick supply a new center piston, so its a conversion.

My Valves where tipped for clearance

The gear on the intermediate drive shaft does not clear the rod on cylinder 4 on a 92.8mm crank.

The Gear was actually ground down with a 45 deg Cut to give it clearance.

Also the Shaft is Cast, the whole center section wobbles on a lathe, they are all like that, so we slightly machined the center shaft also.
