Default The ME motronic versions are DBW, M versions are non-DBW. I have a Motronic ME book...

$15 from Bentley, it's written by Bosch.

Anything in particular you're looking for?<ul><li><a href="http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=H178">http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=H178</a></li></ul>

Check this out...
I started reading but havent finished. It's pretty good. But you should have some tecnological knowledge to understand some of it.
It can be kinda deep....<ul><li><a href="http://shop.barnesandnoble.com/textbooks/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?userid=29TAK4HOK0&mscssid=2GEH7G0L TJC08KV979RMPQ3SAJRKD1W3&isbn=0262700263">Read this</a></li></ul>

Default Thanks - I'll give it a shot! I think I have a solid basic foundation, and am always looking...

...to learn. I used to read the shop manuals for my last car just because I was curious. Had a lot of interesting stuff in there, and explained (albeit briefly) how each particular system normally functioned. Had flow charts that described normal operation as well as trouble shooting flows...good stuff. I'm hoping that the Bentley CD will have some similar stuff - so the motronics seemed to be a good add on.

B&N sells the motronic book too, and I think they still have free shipping on two or more books.

Default If you want to learn about Motronic and it's various components and theories...

then yes. It even goes through the engine basics (combustion cycle, ignition, fuel, etc) but there are probably better books out there if you want to learn the basics about engines.

Default it doesn't go into detail for each type of ECU....

since Motronic ECUs are used in a variety of cars in different configurations. It's mainly a book on theory of operation.

If you're looking for a pinout, get ahold of a Bentley manual, it should be in the wiring diagrams (at least it is for my A4 manual from Bentley)
