Default MAF - Maxed Out - What options?

Hi guys,

My RS6 has maxed out the MAF's and was wondering what options there are for upgrades?

The MAF's are 3" and I dont have room for 3.5" units from the B5 RS4, and was wondering if anyone has any other ideas?

Can Nissan Z32 AFM's be adapted?

Thanks

Default Maf's get maxed when the air velocity tears the wire out. Only way to stop is to put larger dia. MAF

in. Any 3" MAF is going to have the same issues, best find a way to get a 3.5 or 4" housing in. Sorry

Default I think you may be wrong about MAFs being maxed.

I ran a single 3" MAF on a 5 cylinder to 500hp. You have the V8 and 2 MAF's right? If that is correct you would have to be running over 1000hp to be maxing the MAF, as I said before you max a MAF when the air velocity gets so fast it rips the wire out (newer may be different, and I dont run a MAF on my 1.8t). Who told you the MAF's were maxed, and what has been done to the car. It is definately possible to get enough power in car to need one, but you would not be running Motronic in it and probably would delete the MAF. I would like to help you with this, but I need to know what is going on that makes you think the MAF is maxed?
Thanks,
Rod
