Default interesting

but I have such bad luck with MAFs and the intake system to want to mess around more. I am going back to a stock airbox soon and I will try removing the flap and maybe running a tube to it to get more air in. I doubt I will try removing the MAF screen tho.

Default I just removed my maf screen and added a velocity stack on my 2.8, and it's pretty impressive...

There's a slight change in sound, but I cant articulate it better than saying there's more of a low pitched "growl" under wide open throttle. Things apparantly sound different from the outside too, even at idle - I have no clue why.

No CEL's and the car idles like a purring kitten. The only downside is that the throttle is way more touchy now, so I'm trying to relearn that. (Its like switching from a car with dismal brakes to super grabby ones.)

"urS4" mod? Looks like his work at least. Thought he was only doing stuff for the 12v's though?

Default Yep, a UrS4 / abnormallyaspirated.com velocity stack - it's the same for 12v & 30v...

...and the stage3 maf housing will work for some of the earlier 30v's too.

He's bringing 30valvers into the fold, and I recently saw a post where he was looking for S4 testers too. (cant recall what it was for though)

He's a great guy with a crapload of ideas, products, and know how...all topped off with obsessive/compulsive attention to detail.

Audi did this on the URS4's from the factory. Just smooths out airflow into the wire to reduce turbu
