My first A6
thanks for all your help.
V6 = 60/90d vee (can't remember which), two cylinder heads, 12v or 30v.
Basically nothing interchanges between the two.
Go with a PES supercharger if you want the most from your 30v, IMO. Its what I would do.
What is it about the supercharger route that turns you off? Money? If so I'm afraid it is one of the cheapest ways to get a decent upgrade of reliable power.
You could theoretically go with nitrous. I wouldn't.
Of course you can spend some bucks and have the engine "built" or reworked internally with some goodies for more power normally aspirated(na). But that will likely make it a little less driveable in day to day routine useage (a "built" engine is usually more race oriented, so your power band will be stronger in the higher rpm range)
plus that will likely be as expensive or more expensive than just bolting on a supercharger kit. I'm sure you could just do a few things like cams, ECU, exhaust and get a decent power upgrade.
If you're interested in the built na route, see the link to read about an A4 with the 3.0 V6, similar if not the same as your engine.
You could always go nuts and swap in a 2.7t and then you can have a lot more fun...
or do the hpamotorsports swap, twin turbo vr6...major cabbage for that one though.
You could build your own turbo setup as well...but that requires a lot of knowledge on your part or an expensive performance shop to provide that, besides which I haven't yet read of anyone doing that with the 2.8.
Good luck. Your only limit to power is your budget<ul><li><a href="http://www.northtexasaudigroup.com/forums/showthread.php?s=f4264a91c08ca69845d0c1879e000f65& amp;threadid=4290">http://www.northtexasaudigroup.com/forums/showthread.php?s=f4264a91c08ca69845d0c1879e000f65& amp;threadid=4290</a</li></ul>
