I measured less than 2 ohms. Never got to install my resistor though cuz I didn't have one handy
at the time. I've tried larger before - like 1K down to 15 ohms and they didn't work. Low ohms makes sense to me because the igniter has a coil.

You are correct, it is a 1 ohm resistor that needs to be installed.
Never installed one in my car since I only have 1 air bag left in the car and I really dont need that one working anyway.
