Default Need Help, grinding when shifting from 2-3 gear...

I sometimes grind shifting from 2-3 gear. This only happens when shifting quickly from 2-3. This started to happen after my turbo upgrade was installed. When my car was chipped, it never did this. I had a couple more experienced manual drivers and they ran into the same problem when shifting quickly. If you take your time and shift slower it doesn't grind. I only know of a few possiblities. One is that because of the added power my shifts become more rushed(sloppy) because of the adrenaline rush. Maybe my shortshifter needs adjustment. Maybe my mechanic screwed with the car when testing the car when he installed the turbo upgrade. Or something is really wrong with my gears. Please help.

Best thing is to use high end synthetic trans fluid. Did the trick for me!

Default Did he bleed the brakes?

Maybe you'be got an air bubble in the clutch slave cylinder slowing clutch reaction times. I hope you get it sorted out.

Default Try to rev match when you upshift as well.

When you shift from 2nd to 3rd, did you wait for the engine rev to drop a little before putting into 3rd? I have a similar problem in my Golf as well, but it's from 1st to 2nd. I often grind the 2nd gear when I upshift too quickly (hanging rev), but if I wait for the rev to drop then shift into 2nd, no problem at all.

Default Well...

Well there are a few things stopping me. First is this stupid shifting problem, I just hate hearing that grinding noise. I want to remedy this before something bad happens. Also, I'm still learning manual. My techinque now is getting better but no where it should be, I'm still learning to shift quickly and consistantly and also I can't get a good launch worth $hit. To top it off I'm have been really busy at work the past few weeks I still haven't even had time to enjoy my car i got a set of coilovers begging to be installed too
