Need Max power
Ok im planning out an a4 before i get it and am desputing the 1.8T or the 2.8
either will be quattro
but which can get the most hp?
Im looking for somewhere around 350 to 500 hp (something to put it in the 4/4.5 second 0-60) and am willing to spend around $5000 to $6000 on engine mods.
If anyone knows of any hi hp kits for the 1.8T or 2.8 please post.

If your looking to do this right and without nos
your looking at spending a whole lot more then $6000 to make 350-500 hp. Just a clutch/installed to hold 350 hp is going to cost you over $1000 up front. If you want 500 hp look to be spending well over $15000 easy. You might be able to get to 400 hp for about $10000 if you can find the right stuff to tune it.
Other wise just buy a tuned kit that might get you to 280-350 hp on pump/race fuel and you might spend about $5000-$7500.
Your list
Turbo kit + labor $4000-$4500
Clutch + labor = $500-$1500
FMIC or new SMIC $500-$1500
BTW to get to 4 seconds you will need to make 400-450 hp since the car is 3200 lbs.

Re: Dont forget the cost ever time you feel like filling up the nos bottle.
nos is not really an option. I wanna be able to autocross this car, and as far as ive seen, its been banned.
oh btw im planning on stripping the thing down, no radio, seats, ac, speakers or any other useless crap thatll be adding weight.
also where I live there are no emissions checks, so a raceing cat or no cat at all with a straight downpipe and a straight thru muffler would be ok.
i saw the apr system but it said it was only for 5 speed trannys
also i heard that apr software likes to crap out when adding an fmic.
maybe either the pes t28 system or apr stage 3 (if there is a god reason to go w/ it)
then an fmic with water cooling
custom exhaust
Underdrive pulley
new hi comp ratio pistons? i have yet to find any aftermarket pistons for the 1.8T
i heard atp has a VW 1.8T kit thats 300 hp for like $3200
can this be fitted to an audi?

are sequential transmissions available for a4s?
In the end i just want to create a fairly quick a4. something fun to drive, not a drag race car or anything. just enough to outrun those annoying riceburners and the occasional pig.

If you want make some real power, sell the automatic and buy a stick
other wise your stuck with just going with a K04. If you go any bigger the car will just be a dog off the line. A big turbo must be spooled up with very high rpms off the line, you just cant do that with a auto/tip.
