New DUH Intercooler for Stage 3 A4 Installed
Eric from DUH Engineering finally finished with his production run of intercoolers for the Stage3 A4.
Driving impressions thus far are *VERY* positive...it's like the whole engine has been opened up for better breathing and the turbo is almost completely dead silent now. No more whooshing air noises as the turbo tried to force air through the bumper and up and around the stock sidemount. As a result the exhaust is a little quieter as well....the car drives eerily stock now.
I am going to Streets of Willow for a track event on Friday so we'll see how it holds up under some continued abuse. Also once I have some time I'll run some more 3rd/4th pulls with the VAG and compare with the readings I got before I had the FMIC put on.
CharlieGSanD took the reigns for a bit and his impressions were that it spooled faster and was smoother than his new Evo so that's pretty positive I think =D
Anyways here are some pictures, check it out:

looks great
How much more room is there behind the S4 bumper than the A4 bumper? I have a FMIC but it barely fits behind my A4 bumper even after hacking the crap out of the bumper. Would the S4 bumper give me any more room?

Definately
The S4 bumper has a lot more room under there and it bolts right up in place of the A4 bumper which is nice. There was still a little bit of trimming that had to go on to get the pipes to not interfere with anything but well worth it for the increased performance.
