Oil leak from engine at 40,000miles...Could it be because of my chip? 30v V6 btw.

Assuming from underneath the car; might be the crush washer. Make sure you change it out every time you remove the bolt. Also double check filter for tightness and don't overfill. I had a leak. Cause was the silly washer Hope it's not any of the gaskets.
