which one would you use to replace vac lines???

Default which one would you use to replace vac lines???

1. High-Temperature Viton Rubber Tubing
* Temperature Range: -15° to +400° F
* Color: Firm: Opaque black;
Hard: Opaque black, green, or brown
* Durometer, Shore A: Firm: 60; Hard: 75
* Tensile Strength: 1600 psi
* Elongation: Firm: 380%; Hard: 193%
* Sterilization: Not rated
* Material Meets: Not rated
* Fittings: Barbed (see pages 111-118 )

ID:4mm OD:6mm Wall:1mm $3.09 per foot



2. High-Pressure Nitrile Rubber Tubing
* Temp. Range: -40° to +220° F
* Color: Opaque black with
black nylon braid
* Durometer, Shore A: 80
* Tensile Strength: 1400 psi
* Elongation: 450%
* Sterilization: Not rated
* Material Meets: Not rated
* Fittings: Barbed
(see pages 111-118 )

ID: 5/32" OD: 9/32" Wall:1/16" $.84 per foot


The thing that concerns me about the high pressure nitrile is that it is only rated for 220°.

I'm ordering some other stuff from McMaster-Carr, so I thought I'd pick up some vac line as well, I just don't know which one to go with.

Default I always use slicone line for almost anything I can get by with

Of course some apps. dont work but I like them for ease of use, flexibility,and they can be done in almost any size and color. I never had a vacuum so strng that their flex had any effect.

Default More an issue with crimping if you try too tight a bend and the lack of cut resistance w/ silicone

line. Price on 'merican vac line is nice too.
