Default OT: Saab came in second at Pikes Peak with 780hp Viggen?!?

I ran across this paging through some auto mag. Jesus, 780hp from 2 liters? How is that possible?

What does Audi get out of its modified 1.8t engines?

Millen was getting over 1,000hp from his GTP based four cylinder. Besides, the SAAB got beat by a TRUCK in a slower class. Old turbo formula 1 cars at the end were getting close to 1,500hp in qualifying from 1.5litre sixes and fours. Now we are talking about boost!

So what came in first? I hope it's not a Tiburon with 1000hp :P

Default The heads bolts go through the block ...

according to the article in European Car. This Saab is Per Eklund's rallycross vehicle and the engine is built by a company by the name of Trollspeed.

Also, Per Eklund was a former Audi works rally driver in the 80's. He rallied the original A1 series Quattro Coupe.

PS: Trolls a part of Scandinavian folklore.

So it's AWD? No way you could use that HP through FWD.
