Pagid Blue opinions?
Don't know what's up with the search engine but I get nothing when I search for "Pagid" in ALL forums...
I've currently got Pagid Orange pads that I run with a Stoptech 332mm kit. They've been great on the track and street, but I feel I want a more aggressive pad for the track (will switch to RS-14 next time) and a quieter pad for the street. I've got 2 sets of rotors so bed-in is not an issue.
How does the noise on Pagid Blue compare to the Pagid Orange? Do the blues have more initial bite and power when cold since it's a lower temp pad? I wasn't happy with the Axxis Ultimates and want something more aggressive than the standard street pad. Dust is not a concern, but I'm tired of the loud shreaking and squealing of my orange pads.
Recommendations?
TIA.

I hated my Axxis Ultimates as well and about 6mo ago switched to P Blues.
What a difference! I was starting to hate my stoptechs as they weren't predictable and had longer stopping distances than stock. Turns out it was all the pads. The blues are super linear, super strong and pretty fade resistant. When I was breaking them in, they weren't fading significantly even on the 10th stop. They do make a mess though, so expect tons of brake dust. As for squeling, they have a tendency to do so under light braking. I think that may be a dust buildup issue though, as if you run them hard, they stop squealing for a week or so. If you have any other questions, shoot me an e-mail.

So I guess you have you no experience with the Orange Pads to
compare noise? I'm pretty sure the Pagid Blues will be fine performance-wise. There are a lot of high performance street pads out there to choose from. I just want something quiet.
Thanks for your input.

Pagid compound comparison
According to this, the Pagid Blue has more grip cold than the Pagid Orange but less hot. At least on my car, the Blue does not squeal on the street (though I'm currently using the Pagid 4-2-1 Black, which is also quiet).
I used the RS14 Black for the first time at Road America last week; and if you haven't been there, it's pretty hard on brakes. The Pagids never faded away, but pedal effort increased enough that I assume I went well beyond that coefficient of friction peak at 900 oF. When I finally use up the Pagid RS14, I'll probably switch back to the Ferodo DS3000.

I've heard them cold and they were loud. The blues will never produce the same level of noise
and the majority of times are silent. I haven't quite figured out how to ensure they're 100% quiet, and maybe they never will be.

Might I suggest Carbotech?
Panther Plus runs a 0.55 COF temps up to 1250F.
Mild dusting, very friendly on rotors, works well cold. Streetable, mildly noisy.
Panther XP1108 runs a 0.59 COF up to 1350F. Mild dusting, track pad.
Panther XP1109 runs a 0.6+ COF over 1400F. Dusting, and not rec'd for the street.

My blues squeaked a lot before the anti-squeal I put on them. They squeal just a little now.
As for performance...better than I could have imagined for both street and track. Very impressed.
