PES-G2 or Z-Engineering for A4-2.8-30v manual
Opinions on both would be greatly appreciated. I know the Z kit is now available yet so, may not get any input, but my concerns are both realibility and performance gains. Also a good local distributor in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Thanks ahead of time.

Spoke to the guys at New Dimensions in Santa Clara and they were not too please with the PES and ...
suggested I wait for the Z-Engineering, of course this could be the do not handle the PES line.

Ah...I think that may be an incorrect statement
Dick's Audi Performance put one on Rick Reynold's 98 2.8 Tip. Dick Reynold's is also the local TAP distributor. I met Tony and Gary at Dick's place about 1.5 years ago.
Look on the TAP site for info on how to contact Dick.

I don't know the story on lots of stuff...so that is probably true
All I do know is that Dick use to own Sal's Foreign Car repair. He then worked a deal with Ivor @ TAP to be the TAP representative for California and a few other west coast states. His son, Rick, bought and they installed the PES supercharger on his 98 2.8 30V Tip. After that, I dunno how many they sold or installed. Dick has since sold Sal's Foreign Car repair but appears to still be a local TAP rep. I don't know much more than that.

You know, until somebody HAS a Z-engineering unit
This is all guess work and rumor. I have the G2, and I like it. Otherwise I can't comment on what I haven't seen in comparison.
The G2 (and presumably Z) require more mechanical work than everybody is ready and able for - it's not just drilling a hole in some airbox and claiming speed improvements. PES has had problems with their kits that trace back to install issues.
And anybody making these sorts of things does not do a huge volume of product, thus anecdotal stories rule... sombody swears by some vendor, somebody else blew up an engine...
Here's one bit of advice in either case: Own your own installation - do it yourself if at all possible. If it's more than you can handle, take a pass. My G2 is fast and runs great. And installing it myself made me able to deal with (and talk to PES about) all the little things that do come up along the way.
