PES Problems
T-28 kit has been installed for a few months. My engine light is still on. The code appearing is Serial Comunicational Link Error P0420. I think the number is right. The car is a 2001 DBW and I have put about 3,000 miles on the kit so far. It will idle high with the AC off and tends to rev to the moon when given throttle. Like its getting to much gas. Also i put in two Sparco Evos and my airbag light is on. Please give some fedback before I get rid of the car. Thanks a bunch.

You have to put on some 2.5-5 ohm resistors to turn the air bag light off.
The stock seats have air bags in it and you now have those plugs unplugged.
About the code, are you sure your vag is reading right? Is this a code from the engine module that the vag is reading or a problem with your vag talking to the car?

Re: You have to put on some 2.5-5 ohm resistors to turn the air bag light off.
Thats a good question. We got other codes but they were cleared, so i would say its reading the code from the engine. I dont have a PC or a VAG so I have to rely on people who know nothing about my car. I need out of state help.

Can you access all the other modules except for the ECU? I mean if you have VAG, you should be able
to access the instrument cluster, Airbag (looks like you did), locks, transmission, etc.
If the engine ECU is the only one that can't get access, try unplugging and pluggin it back in. I doubt it will come back, but just in case. If no change after pluggin in the ECU, then the ECU serial communication port is probably toast. The light may reset after unplugging the ECU but then it may come back again when it realizes it cannot communicate with other modules.
