PLEASE HELP!
recently i've had problems where the check engine light lit up. brought it to the dealer, they said the problem was the GIAC Chip.. brought it to place i installed the chip, remove the chip, they said the problem was with audi not the chip. brought it BACK to the dealer, the problem is STILL with the chip that USED to be in there.
is that a possbility? could it be b/c of GIAC?
i recently also installed GFB BOV.. could THAT be problem? i heard BOV tends to make 2001 a4 run "rich" could that cause engine light to light up? PLEASE HELP!

What Year is Your car.
If it is Non BDW either the GFB Bypass or Hybrid valve should work.
I have GFB Hrbrid in My car for a month now now probs or DTC.
If its a DBW stick with the GFB Bypass, Hybrid valve not recomeneded, but may work.
In any Case Have you got the revised Spring from GFB.
If its a BOV only, then yes take it off and get Bypass or Hybrid.
Pure BOV is not suited to stock or chipped car.

Ask the dealer for the specific code, he should be able to give you that much at least.
Then someone here can give you an educated guess and what the cause might be. It could be related to your setup, or it could be something totally unrelated.

Re: PLEASE HELP!
If your new BOV is venting to atmosphere, route the outlet back into the intake between the MAF and the turbo. Venting pre-metered air is a bad idea, unless you've done a MAF to speed density conversion since there is no metering of the air, but rather a computation based on manifold pressure, RPM, TPS...
