Question for ATP turbo kitted guys .---->
I go the website for the 1st time in 2 months and see the new stg3 for the A4's. I proceed to cancel christmas for the family but I need more info first. 1) Can my current exhaust system be re-used for the GT28 or GT30 kits? 2) How bad will these kits screw you on emissions?? 3) Are these kits everything they say they are??
I'd be happy with an APR or PES kit..but I need power..and a whole sh*tload of it!!! Enough with the eclipses and lancers running around here in CT..I need something to fight back with...(and look damn good while doing it!! lol)

yes your exhaust system can still be used. I suggest a bigger downpipe though, preferably with a test pipe rather than a HFC. But that's basically where the emissions with go down the hole for some performance benefits. I currently have the ATP Stage 3 kit that will be releasing sometime soon. I think for the price it will be a new contender to the kits that are out already. If you look at the dyno graph on the site, that is actually the one taken off from my car. So let me tell you that the numbers are very promising. I'm going to still try to squeeze 350 hp to the wheels with a few more mods, then take it to the track next year.

Re: So..for the time being my current exhaust and cat can be re-used..is there a CEL???
to be honest i'm not sure....haven't cleared mine from last time. You may if you run a test pipe, but mine never came on. Is your a4 nondbw or dbw?

unfortunately...I know too many DSM's that'll still walk our cars with a GT30 installed
and stageIII S4's, hence my next mod is a DSM
But for the GT30, a 3" exhaust would REALLY help. 3" is definitely useful on a GT28, but 2.5 is sufficient to start out with.
AFAIK, these kits are still in development stage, and hopefully will be released soon. Hopefully, the chip is improved alot.
I wish a "home-tunable" ECU came with the kit<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/performance/msgs/58794.phtml">https://forums.audiworld.com/performance/msgs/58794.phtml</a</li></ul>
