Default Question for those of you that have built 1.8T motors up.

What compression did you put it to and why?
How do you find the driveability out of boost?

Default 12.7's at 109-116 mph with the cat in.

I have yet to make a full run with the cat off, gets too lean in 3rd so I have to coast for high 12's at 112 off the throttle. Still trying to figure out the issue with the car.

I just bought a 97A4q.
Moving over from an Evo (wanted to do something different) I kinda find it hard to get these cars in sub 13s without a ton of work.....
You've got an intresting set up.
Is your car driven on a daily basis?

Fine, having the boost hit full at 4500 makes it easier to drive in traffic.

Default 8.5:1 1.8L drives fine. It's been 1.5 yrs since rebuild...

like Mike says, the turbo lag helps it to drive totally normal in daily use, but when u do get the turbo spoolin, it's a beast.

12.1 sec 1/4, and 119 top mph. all wheels spinnin~

that was my question how much of a dog is it...or does the timing more than make up for it?

Timing makes up for it.
