S4 shift lever

We are developing a shift lever housing to do away with the positioning rod from the transmission. The stock housing (on the right) is plastic and has two rubber bushings...which lead to flexing. Our prototype is machined to accept the stock ball socket and use a UUC Motorwerks shift lever. It will be adjustable fore and aft, but will bolt solidly into place on the tunnel. This piece, along with our heim jointed transverse rod will take all of the play out of the shift lever...bear in mind that our S4 race car has solid aluminum subframe and motor mounts.
By the way, the UUC Motorwerks shift lever (40%) is really a nice piece.
We do not, I repeat, do not plan to put this into production, as they are truly one off pieces for our 2 GRAND-AM CUP GS Audi S4's.
